Foodies on Menorca prepares a 2027 gastronomic calendar dedicated to Menorcan baking

Foodies on Menorca is putting the finishing touches to its 2027 Gastronomic Calendar, a new edition that this year will be dedicated to traditional Menorcan baking and pastry-making. Twelve months and twelve specialities will offer a journey through a particularly sweet part of the island’s culinary heritage.

The calendar will retain the style of the Foodies on Menorca Vintage collection, with illustrations inspired by the graphic language of old advertising and tourism posters, adapted to Menorcan gastronomy. The cover already introduces this visual concept, featuring a traditional fruit coca.

Each month will be dedicated to a speciality from Menorca’s traditional recipe collection. The selection includes Three Kings’ cocas, sweet potato greixera, imperial almond cake, brossat formatjada, Vienna rolls with sobrassada, Sant Joan ensaïmada, tomato coca, mocadorets from Ferreries, plum coca, pastissets, All Saints’ fritters and cucussó.

The selection also follows Menorca’s festive and seasonal calendar. It includes preparations associated with Christmas, Three Kings, Sant Joan and All Saints, alongside others that form part of everyday baking traditions and the island’s family gastronomic memory.

With this edition, Foodies on Menorca aims to help preserve and promote Menorca’s traditional sweet recipes, highlighting specialities that have been handed down from generation to generation, some of which are now less commonly found in bakeries and home kitchens.

The project will therefore bring together gastronomy, traditional recipes, memory and design, turning each page of the calendar into a small celebration of Menorca’s culinary heritage.

The Foodies on Menorca 2027 Gastronomic Calendar, currently in the final stages of design, will be priced at €8.
