We prepare the dough with flour, salt, yeast, half lard and half olive oil.

Once the dough has risen and is placed on the baking tray, we use our fingers to make small dimples all over the top of the flatbread.

We sprinkle it with sugar, drizzle it with olive oil, and bake it at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 to 45 minutes.

Notes: This flatbread is also known as “dimpled flatbread.”

It can also be prepared with salt and sugar.

It is one of the traditional flatbreads once made on our island and is still prepared in many homes today, and can also be found in local bakeries.
