Affordable campus food truck «Nomad's» wins the Young University Entrepreneurs Awards

The project "Nomad's", created by students from the Faculty of Tourism at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), has won the second edition of the Young University Entrepreneurs Awards (JEU), organised by the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands (ADRBalears) with the support of the University-Business Foundation (FUEIB).

The winning idea is a mobile food truck serving students and university staff with affordable, varied fast food. Its innovative concept lies in moving to a different location across the campus each week, bringing the service closer to different faculties while combining mobility, technology and accessibility.

The jury also awarded second prizes to "Tour Vision", a tourism intelligence and strategic consultancy project, and "Balink DMC", a destination management company focused on the premium and luxury travel market in the Balearic Islands. A special mention went to "Farmify", an urban farming startup offering affordable, plastic-free growing kits.

The JEU Awards are part of the Ibemprènjove programme, which encourages entrepreneurship among university students while promoting leadership, teamwork and business creation. The first prize is worth €1,000, the second prizes €500, and the special mention €250.
