Twenty-two restaurants in Mallorca take part in the 1st Cooking Contest with Sobrassada de Mallorca PGI

A total of 22 restaurants are taking part in the 1st Cooking Contest with Sobrassada de Mallorca PGI, which will be held from February 1 to 28 in the participating establishments, with the final stage taking place on March 1 at the Mostra de Cuina de les Illes Balears, in Sa Feixina.

In the first phase, participating restaurants will include on their menu a dish featuring Sobrassada de Mallorca PGI or Sobrassada de Mallorca de Porc Negre PGI as the main ingredient, with free pricing and visible communication in the dining room or menu. The jury will evaluate the proposals and select three finalists.

The final stage will be held on March 1 on the stage of the Mostra de Cuina de les Illes Balears, in Sa Feixina, where the three finalists will present their dishes to the jury. The winner of the Jury Prize will be announced, receiving a cash award of €600.

The contest also includes a Public Prize through the voting platform available on the Sobrassada de Mallorca website.

With this initiative, Sobrassada de Mallorca PGI strengthens the link between local products and the restaurant sector, inviting the public to discover and support the finalist proposals.
