Torralbenc, the elegance of Menorcan wine with a French soul

Visiting Torralbenc is a complete wine tourism experience where wine, landscape and gastronomy come together. Located in the municipality of Alaior, this estate is today one of the most distinctive projects in Menorca’s wine scene, both for its scale and for the clear French influence reflected in the style of its wines.

The history of Torralbenc began when livestock farming gave way to vineyards, with the first plantings carried out between 2006 and 2007. The Urtasun family, with previous experience in the wine and hospitality sectors, opted for an innovative model on the island: a wine-focused agritourism project at a time when this concept was still uncommon in Menorca. The project has grown steadily and thoughtfully, and it was not until 2016 that the first wines were produced, always guided by a philosophy of slow but secure progress.

Today, the winery is managed by César Palomino, also president of the Menorca Wine Producers Association. Torralbenc has successfully adapted to market trends, making a strong commitment to white and rosé wines—fresh, light and ideal for summer consumption on the island. The result is a range of elegant, well-balanced and highly gastronomic wines.

With 17 hectares of vineyards and a wide range of grape varieties, Torralbenc offers guided tours including a walk through the vineyards, a visit to the winery and a wine tasting at the hotel, accompanied by an aperitif. The experience can be completed at the Torralbenc Restaurant, where Basque and Menorcan cuisine coexist in perfect harmony. A must for lovers of wine, fine dining and authentic experiences.
