The Local Produce Fair Turns Palma into the Capital of Balearic Flavour

Palma is set to celebrate the 2026 Balearic Islands Day with an unmissable event for food lovers and culinary travellers: the Local Produce Fair, taking place on February 27–28 and March 1–2 at S’Hort del Rei. For four days, this emblematic venue at the foot of La Seu Cathedral will become a vibrant showcase of the Balearic pantry.

The fair will bring together producers, artisans and makers who represent the culinary essence of the islands: extra virgin olive oils, Mediterranean character wines, herbal liqueurs, honey, jams, cheeses, cured meats and vegetable preserves that tell the story of the territory through flavour. It is a unique opportunity to taste, shop and speak directly with the people behind each label, discovering stories of tradition, innovation and deep respect for the land.

With generous opening hours —10 am to 9 pm from Friday to Sunday, and until 6 pm on Monday— visitors can stroll at leisure between stalls, sample new products and fill their baskets with authentic island flavours, all within a stunning heritage setting that blends gastronomy, culture and landscape.

For travelling foodies, the Local Produce Fair is far more than a market: it is a sensory experience that connects with the soul of Mallorca and the wider Balearic Islands.
