Taula Oberta launches a discussion day on local produce at Son Ermità

On Monday, 19 October, Son Ermità – Vestige Collection will host the first edition of Taula Oberta – Restauració Menorca, a new initiative conceived as a space for conversation and reflection among restaurant and hospitality professionals on the island.

Under the theme “Local produce. Shall we take another step?”, the meeting aims to examine the role of Menorcan produce within the restaurant sector, the possibilities for increasing its presence on menus and the challenges that still exist in the relationship between producers, chefs and establishments.

The event will begin at 12.30 pm with arrivals and an informal gathering. At 1.00 pm, the discussion on local produce will begin, moderated and led by Tolo Mercadal. Lunch will be served at Son Ermità at 2.00 pm, followed by coffee and further conversation from 3.45 pm.

Menorca Restauració is organising this first edition, with the collaboration of Foodies on Menorca, reaffirming the publication’s commitment to gastronomic communication, local produce and professional debate.
