Foodies on Menorca
Menorca will once again make its presence felt at the major gastronomic showcase of Madrid Fusión with three days of live showcookings bringing together eight Menorcan chefs from 26 to 28 January. The initiative, promoted by Made in Menorca with the support of the Consell Insular de Menorca and the Menorca Illes Balears brand, aims to highlight local talent and put the island’s product-driven cuisine, craftsmanship and culinary storytelling in the spotlight.
The program kicks off on Monday 26 with a triple session: Tomeu Marquès (12:00) and Francesc Allès (15:30), both from Restaurant Cala Mitjana, and José Maria Borrás (17:00) from Restaurant Aquiara. A first day that points to a contemporary reading of tradition, with technique and a Mediterranean outlook.
On Tuesday 27 it will be the turn of Joan Taltavull (12:00), recognised as Jove Xef Menorquí 2025, followed by Clara Florit (15:30) from Bienmesabe (Madrid) and Joan Salort (18:00) from Pinzell Restaurant. A day designed to connect Menorca with the capital’s gastronomic scene.
The closing day, Wednesday 28, will start at 11:00 with Pau Sintes (Hotel Christine Bedford) and continue at 15:30 with Gerardo Espinoza from Restaurant Torralbenc.
For foodies, it’s a golden opportunity to take the pulse of Menorcan cuisine away from home: produce, identity and creativity—served live.
