Foodies on Menorca
Menorca is expanding its gastronomic experiences with a new route of culinary demonstrations that will allow visitors to discover local products and the talent of the island’s chefs. The initiative, promoted by the Consell Insular de Menorca through its Department of Economy and General Services and the Made in Menorca brand, aims to attract both local audiences and travellers passionate about gastronomy.
The first stop will take place in Es Mercadal on Sunday, March 22 at 12:00 pm, coinciding with the Menorca Native Sheep Fair held at the town’s fairgrounds. The demonstration will be led by chef Dimas Roldán from Torre Vella restaurant of Fontenille Collection, who will prepare a lamb neck lasagna with a reduction of its juices and toasted almonds.
With a limited capacity of 50 places, these demonstrations offer a unique opportunity to experience contemporary Menorcan cuisine up close, based on local ingredients and the reinterpretation of traditional recipes. An experience specially designed for foodies visiting Menorca who wish to enrich their stay with authentic gastronomic activities.
