Es Mercadal launches the gastronomic demonstration route coinciding with the Menorca Native Sheep Fair

Es Mercadal will host on Sunday, March 22, the first stop of a new route of gastronomic demonstrations that will travel through different municipalities of the island. This first session will coincide with the Fira de l’Ovella Autòctona de Menorca, which will take place at the Es Mercadal Fairgrounds.

The demonstration will start at 12:00 pm and will have a limited capacity of 50 places. Chef Dimas Roldán, from Torre Vella restaurant of Fontenille Collection, will lead this first culinary session. During the activity he will prepare a lamb neck lasagna with a reduction of its juices and toasted almonds.

The initiative is organized by the Consell Insular de Menorca, through its Department of Economy and General Services and the Made in Menorca brand, with the aim of promoting local products and showcasing the island’s gastronomy.
