On February 7th and 8th, 2026, the town of Es Mercadal will host the 39th edition of the Partridge Fair, one of Menorca’s most traditional winter events, bringing together local culture, gastronomy and rural heritage.
The Recinte Firal des Mercadal will once again welcome visitors, families and travellers looking for an authentic island experience closely linked to local products and Menorcan traditions. Although some iconic hunting-related activities cannot take place this year due to avian flu restrictions, the fair will keep its spirit alive with a varied alternative programme.
The weekend begins on Saturday with a Compak Sporting competition, while Sunday will feature the main activities. From 10 am onwards, guests can enjoy exhibitions, demonstrations, a traditional market and family-friendly entertainment.
Food lovers will particularly appreciate the live cooking show focused on game recipes, led by chef Dimas Roldan, as well as the much-anticipated popular paella lunch, a highlight of the fair’s convivial atmosphere.
In addition, several restaurants across the island will take part in the Partridge Gastronomic Days, held on February 8th and 9th, offering special dishes inspired by this culinary tradition.
The Partridge Fair is therefore an ideal winter getaway for travellers wishing to discover Menorca through its flavours, traditions and warm community spirit.
