Foodies on Menorca
Licors Biniarbolla once again celebrates Menorcan tradition with a new artisanal creation that combines the character of traditional island herbs with the smoothness and floral nuances of local honey. This new “Honey Herbal Liqueur”, released as a limited edition, is based on the company’s traditional semi-sweet herbal recipe, but introduces a distinctive ingredient: Dolçamar honey, considered one of the island’s finest beekeeping treasures.
The honey used in the production was awarded Spain’s best flower honey in 2018, 2019 and 2020, adding value and a unique personality to the liqueur. The result is a silky, aromatic and balanced drink, where Mediterranean herbal notes blend harmoniously with an elegant and never overpowering sweetness.
For this creation, Biniarbolla remains faithful to its artisanal philosophy: cold maceration for more than forty days, no additives or artificial colouring, and a selection of 16 organic botanicals from Menorca sourced from the Binissaida des Barrancons estate. The recipe also includes coffee beans, which provide depth and a subtle roasted touch.
The new product is marketed in a 50-centilitre bottle with a price of around €18.90, while the 70 cl version sold in the brand’s official store exceeds €24.
With this new launch, the Menorcan company led by Cristina Quintana continues exploring new liqueur expressions linked to the island, always with a sustainable vision and deeply rooted in Menorca’s Biosphere Reserve identity.
