The Ministry of Business, Self-Employed Workers and Energy has opened a new call under ADRBalears’ «Ibexposalocal» program (the Regional Development Agency of the Balearic Islands), which offers businesses and self-employed professionals the creation of spaces to improve the display and sale of products made in the Balearic Islands. Participants receive a personalized service to design a display area, making local products more competitive. ADRBalears technical staff specializing in interior design visit the space, assess its shortcomings and put forward a proposal to improve the display design of the area where the product is showcased.
The initiative is aimed at self-employed professionals and businesses that manufacture or sell products from the Balearic Islands and have a display space, whether retail premises, industrial facilities, or even stands for local, national or international trade fairs.
One of the main objectives of the program is to increase the visibility of local products through visual merchandising techniques, product placement to boost sales, composition studies, and more.
In total, more than 90 businesses and self-employed professionals have already taken part in «Ibexposalocal». Last year, twenty new companies joined. By sector, new participants came from agri-food (40%), crafts (30%) and industry (25%). Approximately 50% have implemented the project proposed by the technical team.
