The 6th Vermella Menorquina Burger Route takes place from May 22 to 31 with 30 gastronomic proposals

The sixth edition of the Route will take place from May 22 to 31, heralding the celebration of International Burger Day on May 28.

The Association of Menorcan Cattle Breeders and Cómete Menorca have once again joined forces to organise the 6th Vermella Menorquina Burger Route. The event aims to bring the meat of this native breed to all kinds of restaurants and eateries. The burger format, which each chef will reinterpret in their own way to make it unique and appealing, seeks to introduce Vermella Menorquina beef to the general public in an accessible and attractive manner.

This year’s edition also features the collaboration of Graham Pearce, Menorca’s beer brand, further strengthening the commitment to local and nearby products.

The route also aims to highlight the minced meat used in burgers, an important and high-quality part of the animal. In the case of calves from this native breed, strict controls guarantee the Vermella Menorquina quality seal. These controls include breed purity, breeding methods and animal welfare standards.

In addition, this gastronomic route is an excellent opportunity for foodie travellers visiting Menorca to discover the island’s native Red Menorcan cow breed, renowned for the outstanding quality and rich flavour of its beef.

The 6th Vermella Menorquina Burger Route is made possible thanks to the support of the Menorca Island Council and is co-financed by the European Union.
