Seth 55 Santo Tomás, the only hotel in Menorca among the 100 best hotels in the world for the second year in a row

Seth 55 Santo Tomás Hotel has been awarded the TUI Global Awards, placing it among the 100 best hotels in the world. It is the only hotel in Menorca to receive this distinction in 2026, and for the second consecutive year.

This award recognises the efforts made by hotels to provide outstanding product quality and service, and is based on customer feedback collected through questionnaires completed after each trip. The hotel also received the same recognition last year, and in 2024 it was granted the Quality Award by tour operator JET2 for exceptional service quality.

Although Seth 55 Santo Tomás sells its 165 rooms through other companies and directly, TUI customers — the world’s largest tour operator — have shown great satisfaction with the experience enjoyed since its opening in 2018.

The award will be presented on 2 March at a gala held every year in Berlin. Being among the 100 best hotels in the world, considering the catalogue TUI works with, means ranking within the top 1% of the tour operator’s extensive portfolio.

Seth 55 Santo Tomás, a guarantee of quality

Seth 55 Santo Tomás Hotel, located in southern Menorca, is the newest hotel in the Menorcan chain Set Hotels. It opened in 2018 and was designed with a strong commitment to sustainability. It features 165 rooms, 8 suites with private pools, and 3 suites with jacuzzis on the terrace. The hotel also offers several food and beverage outlets, a buffet restaurant, a SPA & Wellness centre, and a large garden with a swimming pool.

“Seth 55 Santo Tomás was a major project in which sustainability was our main guiding principle, creating a hotel unique in Menorca up to that point,” explains Paco Mercadal, General Manager of Set Hotels.

The property includes an innovative smart system for facility control, improving energy efficiency, supported by 176 photovoltaic panels. It also has a greywater reuse system, allowing 25% of water to be recycled. All rooms are free from single-use plastics. The architectural project is respectful of the environment and has reduced visual impact. In addition, it promotes green mobility thanks to two electric chargers. A new system has recently been installed to reuse water from pool filter cleaning for garden irrigation.

All these measures, together with the comfort of the facilities and the excellence of the service provided, are what TUI customers have valued in granting this award.
