Menorca strengthens its promotion in Catalonia with a focus on gastronomy and off-season travel

Menorca has once again taken part in B-Travel, one of Spain’s leading tourism fairs, consolidating its presence in the Catalan market and reinforcing its positioning as a ?????onomic and experiential destination, particularly appealing for off-season getaways.

The event, which brought together more than 25,000 visitors and over 110 exhibitors, allowed the Menorca Tourism Promotion Foundation to connect with an audience already familiar with the island and interested in discovering new experiences linked to the territory. In this context, gastronomy and authentic experiences stood out, attracting travelling foodies seeking destinations with a strong identity.

Menorca was the only Balearic island present with its own stand, serving both as a showcase for new visitors and an information point for a loyal audience. Many attendees, already familiar with the island, showed interest in more relaxed proposals connected to local products, landscape and culture — ideal for travelling in spring, autumn or even winter.

The strong interest in gastronomy, along with activities such as cycling routes and the Camí de Cavalls, confirms a growing demand for active, sustainable and year-round tourism. Participation in B-Travel helps distribute tourist flows more evenly throughout the year and strengthens Menorca’s positioning as a complete destination beyond the summer season.
