Foodies on Menorca
The Association of Cafeterias, Bars and Restaurants of PIME Menorca and the Menorcan Native Cattle Breeders’ Association join forces once again to organize this gastronomic event. Fourteen establishments are taking part, most of them long-time supporters of the initiative and promoters of Menorcan Red Beef on their menus throughout the season. This year, the participating restaurants are:
Ciutadella: Jaume II, Pins 46, Café Balear, Pizzeria Roma, Sa Parrilla des Lago
Ferreries: Mesón Rías Baixas
Es Mercadal: Hotel Jeni y Restaurante, Molí d’es Racó, Mesón Can Jaume, Es Tomàtic
Fornells: Sa Fonda
Es Migjorn Gran: Restaurante Don Tomás
Maó: El Grill
Sant Lluís: Sa Pedrera des Pujol
All menus can be viewed at www.gastronomiamenorca.es. To make a reservation, diners should contact their chosen restaurant directly among those participating in the initiative, which will offer beef from the island’s native breed, certified under the Vermella Menorquina and Vermella Menorquina Eco quality seals.
It is worth noting that the Menorcan Red Beef Gastronomic Days have been held since 2019, and are now one of the key events on the annual promotional calendar of the Menorcan Native Cattle Breeders’ Association.
Celebrating this 7th edition in October aims to continue attracting visitors who come to Menorca during the autumn season and to promote gastronomic tourism between the Balearic Islands. It also seeks to encourage local residents to enjoy and rediscover native beef and to support the island’s restaurants committed to local, high-quality products.
The event is organized with the support of the Menorca Tourism Promotion Foundation and the Island Council of Menorca, and is co-financed by the European Union.
