Sant Martí Festival: Experience Menorca through its cuisine and living traditions

From 2 to 20 July, the village of Es Mercadal hosts the Sant Martí Festival, one of Menorca's most authentic summer celebrations. For food-loving travellers, it offers an excellent opportunity to discover the island's culture while enjoying its outstanding local cuisine.

The programme features artisan markets, live music, family activities and the famous horse festival, which reaches its highlight on 18 and 19 July. Throughout the celebrations, local restaurants and cafés showcase Menorcan cheeses, artisan cured meats, fresh seafood, locally raised meats, wines from the IGP Vi de la Terra Illa de Menorca, and the island's traditional pomada (gin with lemonade).

Located in the geographical centre of Menorca, Es Mercadal is also the perfect base for exploring the island's landscapes, villages and culinary heritage.
