“Menorca on the Plate”: traditional cuisine and local produce

The Gastronomic Days “Menorca on the Plate” are celebrating their 13th edition this year, consolidating their position as one of the leading gastronomic initiatives promoting traditional Menorcan cuisine and local island produce.

Organised by the Menorcan Association of Cafés, Bars and Restaurants, affiliated with PIME Menorca, the event will take place from 22 to 31 May 2026 under the slogan “Taste the authentic flavours of Menorca”.

For ten days, participating establishments will offer special lunch and/or dinner menus prepared with traditional Menorcan recipes and local ingredients, with the aim of bringing the island’s most representative flavours closer to both residents and visitors.

As in previous editions, the menus will include a tasting of Mahón-Menorca cheese, dishes inspired by traditional cuisine or made with local produce, and desserts linked to Menorcan pastry traditions.

The organisers highlight the excellent reception the event has enjoyed in previous years and stress the importance of continuing to promote initiatives that support the restaurant sector, local products and Menorca’s gastronomic identity.

The campaign once again has the collaboration of the Menorca Tourism Promotion Foundation and the PDO Mahón-Menorca Cheese, which will provide each participating restaurant with two wheels of Mahón-Menorca cheese for the preparation of their gastronomic proposals.
