Ferreries celebrates its 25th Craft Fair on 2, 3 and 4 October

Ferreries will celebrate the 25th edition of its Craft Fair on 2, 3 and 4 October 2026, an established event that will turn the town centre into a showcase for Menorcan craftsmanship, local food products and traditional trades for three days.

The fair will open on Friday 2 October at 5 pm, with the official inauguration and a visit to exhibitors at 5.30 pm. The first day will include a performance by Eva Pons Trio, a glycerine soap workshop led by Cristina Pons, a talk by Carolina Carreras on Menorcan products used in cosmetic formulations, and a musical performance by Bep Marquès.

On Saturday 3, the food and agricultural market will take over Plaça d’Espanya from 9 am to 1 pm. The programme will also include workshops on making felt keyrings and incense, a practical talk by Marc Moll on flavoured waters made with Menorcan plants and, at 12 noon, one of the gastronomic highlights: a live cooking demonstration by Sa Cooperativa del Camp and Pau Sintes. They will prepare Menorcan red beef meatballs with caper and mushroom sauce, followed by dark chocolate ganache with crisp bread, oil and spicy salt.

The day will continue with music, a performance by the Ferreries Giants and a demonstration of traditional handmade knife-making by blacksmith Llorenç Carreras. Later in the day there will be workshops on painting bags and making perfume, a children’s clown, mentalism and magic show, and a performance by Delorean, Àngels Anglada and Aram Pino.

On Sunday 4, following the reopening at 10 am, Marc Moll will demonstrate the traditional preparation of Menorcan chamomile oil. At 11.30 am, a tribute will be paid to Maria Janer Florit in recognition of her career promoting and raising awareness of craftsmanship.

Gastronomy will once again take centre stage at 12 noon with young Ferreries chef Joan Caballo, who will prepare cuttlefish tagliatelle with sobrassada and a filled bread roll, followed by melon sorbet with gin and lemon. After a musical performance by Lara Pons, the fair will close at 2.30 pm.

The 25th edition will bring together a wide representation of accredited artisans and other makers, as well as food producers including Binigarba, Fruits Secs Ciutadella, Verdures Ramellet, Mel i Reines, Sa Croquetera de Menorca, Hot Dogs Can Uoti, Santa Cecilia, Forn Azahar and Menorcarons, reinforcing the combination of craftsmanship and local gastronomy.
