CIFP Ciutadella opens registration for three free training courses in hospitality and tourism

The new Ciutadella Integrated Vocational Training Centre (CIFP) for Hospitality and Tourism has opened the registration period for three free professional certificate training courses linked to the hospitality and catering sector. The training activities are scheduled to begin from this October and represent an opportunity to acquire specialised knowledge, improve professional qualifications and expand opportunities for entering the labour market.

The initiative is aimed both at people who wish to begin their professional careers in the tourism and catering sector and at workers who are already employed in this field and want to update their knowledge or acquire new skills. The training courses are open to people interested in improving their preparation, without the need for previous work experience in the sector.

The training programme includes three specialisations related to different areas of hotel and gastronomic activities: auxiliary kitchen services, auxiliary restaurant and bar services, and auxiliary catering and institutional food services. These specialisations provide practical knowledge of the usual tasks carried out in restaurants, hotels and other food-related services.

The training in auxiliary kitchen services focuses on support tasks carried out within a professional kitchen, while the restaurant and bar specialisation concentrates on auxiliary activities related to service and customer care. As for the training in catering and institutional food services, it is linked to catering services intended for groups, celebrations and other activities requiring specific organisation.

With this training programme, CIFP Ciutadella aims to contribute to the professionalisation of a sector that plays a significant role in Menorca's economy and requires qualified staff to meet the demands of different tourism and gastronomic establishments. Vocational training represents, in this respect, a tool for facilitating entry into employment and encouraging the continuous improvement of workers' skills.

The centre also offers the opportunity to train in specialised facilities and in a privileged setting in Ciutadella, with spaces dedicated to learning the different activities associated with hospitality and tourism.

Registration is now open, and interested individuals can submit their applications by scanning the QR code displayed on the official information poster. They can also access the registration form through the link available in the biography of the centre's social media accounts.

For further information about the training courses, the registration process and the conditions of participation, interested individuals can contact CIFP Ciutadella for Hospitality and Tourism directly by email at certificats@cifpciutadella.cat or by calling +34 971 384 660.
