Breogán Cocina Gallega ranks among Europe’s 50 best steak restaurants

Breogán Cocina Gallega, located in Palma, has achieved notable international recognition by entering the Europe’s 50 Best Steak Restaurants 2026 ranking, where it holds 40th place among the continent’s leading restaurants specialising in meat.

The ranking, promoted by the same organisation behind the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants, recognises restaurants for the quality of their produce, meat handling, ageing and cooking techniques, service, wine selection and the overall dining experience.

Breogán Cocina Gallega has welcomed the distinction as confirmation of its commitment to excellence and to a style of grilling closely linked to respect for the product and Galician gastronomic tradition.

The restaurant particularly highlights the daily work at the grill and the search for the ideal cooking point for each cut, a philosophy that has helped place the Mallorca establishment among a selection of leading restaurants from across Europe.

The Balearic presence in the ranking is especially noteworthy. In addition to Breogán, Ses Coves, also in Mallorca, ranks 32nd, while Jondal, in Ibiza, takes 15th place.

The recognition further strengthens the Balearic Islands’ presence on Europe’s map of specialist meat and grill restaurants, a gastronomic sector that increasingly values product origin, ageing, mastery of fire and professional service.
