Foodies on Menorca Buffet Hotel Spa Sagitario Playa

Description

The buffet at Hotel Spa Sagitario Playa, in Cala Blanca (Ciutadella), has established itself as one of the best hotel buffets on the island, with a reputation that goes beyond tourism and has also attracted local clientele. It is not uncommon to see residents from all over Menorca who, especially on Sundays, come here to enjoy a varied and high-quality gastronomic offering.

Behind this proposal is the Triay Amorós family, who maintain a strong commitment to local produce and Menorcan cuisine. The buffet reflects this philosophy with a notable presence of cheeses and cured meats from the island, many of them sourced from the group’s own farms and produced by their company Biniatzem Productes de la Terra, which also supplies meat, fruit and vegetables to the establishments of the Sagitario Group.

The gastronomic offering is wide and changes according to the season, with a good balance between traditional cuisine and more universal dishes. Among the Menorcan specialities are dishes such as Biniatzem-style roast suckling pig, grilled meats —chicken, pork, beef or lamb— and more elaborate dishes such as Menorcan-style tripe, meat in sauce, fried offal or cuttlefish with beans. Altogether, it reflects a generous cuisine, rooted in the territory and committed to preserving traditional recipes.

Rice dishes also play an important role, with well-prepared paellas, as well as fish and seafood stew, one of the most appreciated dishes among diners. Classic options such as homemade fried calamari are also present, along with a varied selection of salads and a complete range of desserts, including cakes, ice creams, ensaimadas and seasonal fruit.

The result is a complete buffet designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace, featuring local products, variety and a clear commitment to quality, making it a highly recommended option within Menorca’s gastronomic offer.
