Remei de Ca la Fresca will perform this Tuesday, 4 August, at Jazzbah in the port of Ciutadella, as part of the summer tour marking the Montseny quartet’s return to the stage after several months away, during which they have been working on new songs.
In recent years, the band has established itself as one of the most distinctive acts on the Catalan music scene. Their live performances combine poetry, raw energy, psychedelia and a critical attitude that avoids predictable formulas. This artistic identity was particularly evident on their second album, L’ham de la pregunta, an award-winning record that helped raise the group’s profile.
The Ciutadella concert will feature several songs from their first album, which the band is now finally reissuing on vinyl, as well as tracks from L’ham de la pregunta. The group will also unveil some completely new material, offering audiences a first glimpse of the musical direction of their forthcoming projects.
Remei de Ca la Fresca are Artur Piera, Xantal Rodríguez, Víctor Inskipp and Iago Rueda. The band has created a universe of its own through sonic experimentation, incisive lyrics and an intense stage presence, combining different forms of alternative rock with contemporary roots music.
Doors will open at 10.00 pm and the concert will begin at 10.30 pm. Advance tickets cost €12, plus booking fees, and can be purchased through Jazzbah’s ticketing platform. Admission is strictly limited to those aged 18 and over.
