Lithica, a must-stop cultural experience for foodie travelers in Menorca

Visitors to Menorca this May holiday have a special date at Lithica, the s’Hostal Quarries in Ciutadella. On May 1st, the Lithica Foundation celebrates the Day of the Trencador with a full day that blends heritage, landscape, performing arts, music, and local culture.

This event is a great opportunity to discover one of the island’s most unique settings: former sandstone quarries transformed into a garden and cultural space. The day will include the opening of newly restored areas such as the Pedrera del Talús and Pedrera d’en Magí, along with the presentation of the Fosquets Lithica Festival 2026, dedicated this year to “World Music”.

For foodie travelers looking to enrich their stay with authentic experiences beyond gastronomy, Lithica offers the perfect plan: living heritage, traditional dance, contemporary performance, and a stunning setting to better understand Menorca’s cultural soul.
