GOB Menorca’s Wildlife Recovery Centre opens its doors at Líthica

Foodie travellers wishing to complement their stay in Menorca with a nature and environmental awareness experience can visit the Menorca Wildlife Recovery Centre, managed by GOB Menorca and hosted at the Pedreres de s’Hostal de Líthica.

The open days, running from 1 July to 12 September, provide an opportunity to learn about GOB Menorca’s work caring for, rehabilitating and protecting the island’s wildlife. The visit introduces the public to the centre’s daily activity and highlights the importance of conserving Menorca’s biodiversity.

Líthica hosts the centre within its former sandstone quarries, bringing together two complementary experiences: discovering one of Ciutadella’s most remarkable heritage sites and learning about wildlife and environmental conservation.

For gastronomic travellers, the visit is an appealing alternative before dinner in Ciutadella or after a lunch devoted to local produce. It adds a more sustainable perspective to a foodie itinerary and helps visitors understand how landscape, biodiversity, agriculture and gastronomy are all connected within the same territory.
