El Cairo and Jane Yo at Jazzbah on March 27

The Ciutadella-based band El Cairo and the Mallorcan group Jane Yo arrive at Jazzbah to present their new album in a night dedicated to indie pop and alternative sounds. Two proposals that connect with the legacy of 90s indie rock, but with a current and personal perspective.

El Cairo deliver an intense and atmospheric sound influenced by britpop, shoegaze and powerpop. Their songs are built on direct melodies wrapped in layers of distortion and effects, supported by a solid rhythmic base that creates a dense and colorful wall of sound, designed to have a strong live impact.

Jane Yo, meanwhile, combine contemporary indie pop with textures from post-punk, shoegaze and dreampop. Their sound stands out for its immersive atmospheres, driving drums and expressive guitars that often evoke synthesizers, shaping elegant and intense soundscapes. A mature and cohesive proposal within the independent scene.
