Foodies on Menorca
Binissaida des Barrancons offers a complete experience for food-loving travellers seeking authenticity, sustainability and flavour with a strong sense of place. Located in Es Castell, this Menorcan estate combines organic extra virgin olive oil production, charming agrotourism and a culinary proposal deeply connected to local and seasonal produce.
The olive oil project began in 2019, led by Patrick de la Chesnais, with the aim of developing an ecological and regenerative farming model. Today, the estate is home to around 1,000 arbequina olive trees, cultivated using soil-friendly practices that enhance biodiversity, such as natural composting, crop rotation and innovative systems like the “chicken tractor”.
Binissaida des Barrancons olive oil is elegant, fruity and well balanced, a pure expression of Menorca’s landscape. It is part of the Oli de Menorca Organic Association and protected by the Oli de Menorca PGI, ensuring both origin and quality. Tasting the oil at its place of origin and discovering how it is used in the estate’s restaurant turns the visit into a meaningful gastronomic experience.
The experience is completed by Binissaida’s agrotourism accommodation, a peaceful and refined rural retreat surrounded by fields and dry-stone walls. A destination designed for slow travellers and foodies who want to experience Menorca through its flavours, its land and its values.
