Foodies on Menorca Binigarba

Binigarba

Description

Binigarba is a farm located in the west of Menorca, in the municipality of Ciutadella de Menorca. It is located in the center of an area of ??megalithic monuments very close to the town center. Specifically, between the "Naveta des Tudons" and "Les Taules de Torretrencada," they are of great archaeological interest as they date back to the early Bronze Age, in the pre-Talayotic period, 1500 BC.

The livestock is fed on the farm's natural pastures and a selection of balanced feed.

The farm also has a farm for mother pigs, which are fed with the farm's products. Pork production supplies some butcher shops on the island, but it is also used to produce typical artisanal sausages.

Binigarba is known for its cheeses, renowned throughout the island for their flavor, texture, and the guarantee of a job well done.

In addition to traditional cheeses with the Mahón Menorca Designation of Origin, their semi-cured cheeses seasoned with herbs such as oregano, basil, and rosemary are also noteworthy.

They also produce cured meats, butter, and cottage cheese using traditional methods.
